Dermacentre Pointe-Claire

A medical dermatology clinic with a warm atmosphere opens in the West Island.

How can design enhance both the work of healthcare professionals and the well-being of their patients? The architects answered this question through the design of the welcoming Dermacentre Pointe-Claire clinic.

Bright, well-organized spaces, shaped by materials with soft and natural textures, create a tranquil atmosphere. A long counter made of stone, oak, and lime plaster greets visitors as they enter. In the background, a linen curtain subtly filters the view without partitioning, gently easing the transition into the clinic’s more private areas.

Carefully arranged to maximize daylight, the layout of the examination and procedure rooms ensures optimal conditions for the dermatologists’ practice. Artificial lighting complements and extends this natural brightness without causing glare or shadows. Designed with accessibility in mind, the clinic meets the specific needs of every individual, offering an inclusive environment for all.

The warm and luminous color palette, highlighted by indigo blue accents that reflect the clinic’s identity, guides patients seamlessly through the space. The spatial design promotes smooth movement, minimizing unnecessary crossings and maximizing workflow efficiency. The journey through the clinic is envisioned as a calming stroll, where patients feel at ease from the moment they enter. At Dermacentre Pointe-Claire, every detail has been thoughtfully designed to create a space where both professionals and patients thrive !
